Job summary

Kyndryl Inc. is seeking a Network Support Specialist to help ensure availability, performance, and security of enterprise networks.

Qualifications

  • Foundational experience handling network incidents, service requests, and operational support activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to isolate and diagnose issues.
  • Experience documenting configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Strong communication and customer support skills.
  • CCNP certification or equivalent networking knowledge.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and operational best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance, availability, and operational health.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, routing, switching, and configuration issues.
  • Support installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Execute routine network changes and participate in change management processes.
  • Maintain secure connectivity including VPN and WAN technologies.
  • Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions.
  • Gather diagnostic information and escalate complex issues to senior teams when needed.
  • Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Provide updates on status, impact, and resolution to customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network operations and reduce repeat incidents.

The Role

Your Role As a Network Support Specialist, you will help ensure the availability, performance, and security of enterprise network environments. Working in a complex, multi-vendor environment, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting network infrastructure that enables business-critical operations. You will collaborate with engineers, service teams, and customers to resolve issues, implement changes, and continuously improve network reliability and performance.

What You Will Do
  • Monitor and manage network performance, availability, and operational health.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, routing, switching, and configuration issues.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Execute routine network changes and participate in change management and review processes.
  • Maintain and support secure network connectivity, including VPN and WAN technologies.
  • Investigate network incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Gather diagnostic information and elevate complex issues to senior engineering teams when needed.
  • Support network-security policies and help identify and address security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Document network configurations, troubleshooting activities, operating procedures, and recurring issues.
  • Provide technical support and communicate status, impact, and resolution updates to customers and stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network operations, reduce repeat incidents, and enhance service quality.

  • Experience supporting network security technologies such as Check Point or Cisco Firepower firewalls.
  • Experience with F5 load balancers, NSX, or other advanced infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience with network automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-vendor enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to network engineering, infrastructure modernization, or cloud networking initiatives.
Compensation

The base compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $55,200, to, $99,240, based on a full-time schedule reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Kyndryl, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. Your actual compensation may vary depending on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction, including, but not limited to, geography, relevant job-related skills, education and experience, certification and licenses, internal pay equity, and market and business consideration. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations: California (San Francisco Bay Area): $66,240, to, $119,040, California (All Other): $60,720, to, $109,200, Colorado: $55,200, to, $99,240, Massachusetts/ Virginia: $55,200, to, $109,200, New York City: $66,240, to, $119,040, Washington: $60,720, to, $109,200, Washington DC: $60,720, to, $109,200, This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
