SMBC Group is seeking an Application Developer - Vice President to lead hands-on ServiceNow development, architecture, and enterprise integrations. You will design, implement, and govern complex solutions, collaborating with business, data, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and external partners.

The role emphasizes architecture reviews, standards, and scalable delivery, with strong emphasis on REST/SOAP integrations, IntegrationHub, and API design.

Qualificações

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development, architecture, or integration experience.
  • Deep ServiceNow development including Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and REST/SOAP integrations.
  • Experience designing integrations using REST, SOAP, OAuth, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and webhooks.
  • Strong knowledge of CMDB, data models, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise apps, cloud platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Ability to translate requirements into technical designs and drive implementation with Jira.

Role Description

The Application Developer - Vice President serves as a hands-on technical authority for ServiceNow solution development, architecture, and enterprise integrations. This role is responsible for designing, developing, troubleshooting, and governing ServiceNow-based solutions that support business processes, workflow automation, data integration, and operational reporting requirements.

Working closely with business stakeholders, application teams, data teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, and external development partners, the role provides deep technical expertise and architectural guidance for complex implementation initiatives. The successful candidate will design technical solutions, review developer implementations, establish technical standards, write detailed technical requirements, and help delivery teams overcome complex technical challenges.

This is a highly technical individual contributor role requiring deep ServiceNow development expertise and strong integration experience. The ideal candidate combines architecture skills with the practical ability to build, debug, and support solutions directly.

Role Objectives: Delivery
  • Design, develop, configure, and support complex ServiceNow solutions utilizing Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, Record Producers, Scheduled Jobs, and custom applications.
  • Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow, Databricks, cloud platforms, cybersecurity solutions, data platforms, and enterprise applications.
  • Create detailed technical specifications, source-to-target mappings, integration designs, interface specifications, and developer-ready implementation requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, integration, workflow, and data flow issues and assist development teams in resolving technical challenges.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote ServiceNow development standards, security requirements, and operational support considerations.
  • Develop reusable integration patterns, implementation guidance, and technical standards that support scalable and maintainable solution delivery.
  • Support operational reporting, analytics, workflow automation, and data integration initiatives leveraging ServiceNow and enterprise data platforms.
  • Evaluate new ServiceNow capabilities, modules, plugins, and supporting technologies to improve platform capabilities and delivery efficiency.
  • Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions while ensuring scalability, supportability, and long-term maintainability.

  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business objectives into detailed technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external development teams to review designs, troubleshoot implementation challenges, and ensure successful delivery.
  • Work closely with data engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to support enterprise integration initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership during architecture reviews, design sessions, implementation planning activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in technology onboarding activities, architecture assessments, technical reviews, and governance processes.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders while helping drive successful technology outcomes across multiple initiatives.

  • Maintain expertise in ServiceNow scripting frameworks, Service Catalog, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Import Sets, Transform Maps, REST APIs, SOAP services, OAuth, and MID Server technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of ServiceNow data models, CMDB design, table structures, reference relationships, and platform architecture.
  • Apply expertise in enterprise integration architecture, API design, authentication models, secure data exchange architectures, and system interoperability.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of troubleshooting, performance optimization, scalability, resiliency, and operational support requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging ServiceNow capabilities, integration technologies, data platform capabilities, and development best practices.
  • Apply technical expertise to establish standards, implementation patterns, and architectural guidance that promote consistency across solutions.

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development, application architecture, or systems integration experience.
  • Deep ServiceNow development experience including Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, Record Producers, Scheduled Jobs, Custom Applications, Import Sets, Transform Maps, REST Integrations, SOAP Integrations, and ServiceNow APIs.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, OAuth, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, webhooks, and event-driven integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, CMDB design, data models, workflow automation capabilities, and enterprise application integration.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise applications, cloud platforms, identity providers, cybersecurity tools, analytics platforms, and operational systems.
  • Experience creating technical specifications, implementation designs, source-to-target mappings, interface specifications, and integration documentation.
  • Strong experience using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, user story development, release coordination, dependency tracking, requirements management, and technical project execution.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex development, integration, workflow, and production issues across multiple technology layers.
  • Ability to review developer code, identify design issues, recommend improvements, and assist teams in resolving technical challenges.

Preferred Skills

  • Python development experience for automation, integration services, API development, data transformation, operational tooling, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with Databricks, data lake, analytics, reporting platforms, or enterprise data solutions.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-native integration architectures.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, enterprise data pipelines, reporting platforms, and operational analytics solutions.
  • Experience working within financial services or other regulated environments.
