Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Hillsboro, Oregon is hiring an E-Waste Technician to safely collect, sort, test, and process electronic waste in accordance with environmental and data-security standards. The role includes dismantling devices, performing data wiping, and recovering valuable components while maintaining rigorous chain-of-custody documentation.

Based in a warehouse/tech lab at Ronler Acres, you will handle hazardous materials, use disassembly tools, and log inventory for reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware components (CPUs, motherboards, RAM, storage).
• Experience with diagnostic software and data sanitization tools.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and disassembly equipment.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to sites as needed.
• Ability to maintain data security and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lbs regularly and work in warehouse conditions.
• Familiarity with safety protocols for hazardous materials (lithium batteries, mercury switches, CRTs).

Responsabilités

• Receive and sort electronic waste by type and recycling stream.
• Test, diagnose, and disassemble devices to harvest components.
• Perform data wiping or destruction with documented chain-of-custody.
• Conduct basic repairs and upgrades for secondary markets.
• Log inventory and generate reports on volumes and hazardous waste.
• Use tools and equipment to safely break down devices.
