Job summary

International Flavors & Fragrances is seeking an E&I Technician to maintain electrical and instrumentation systems and ensure strict EHS, food safety, and quality standards. This in-person role requires relocation to Rockland, ME and detailed maintenance planning and execution across production areas.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment sanitation, troubleshooting, and collaboration with the team to drive safe operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE) including GED and Maine HiSET.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support your team in making deliberate improvements in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) as well as housekeeping performance.
  • Ensure 100% compliance of assigned EHS requirements, process safety, food safety, and quality standards.
  • Execute required preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices.
  • Safely complete life critical activities in production areas, including development and execution of lock, tag, try procedures (LTT).
  • Identify and implement improvements in systems, processes, and personal development as assigned by department and/or shift KPI.
  • Ensure all training requirements are met within the specified time frames and train other personnel as required by Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of the site’s electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Perform work order tasks and support work order flow through MMIS.
  • Perform troubleshooting of the site’s electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Support scoping and planning of work orders.
  • Follow parts procurement procedures.
  • Support updating and documentation of equipment BOMs and PMs.
