Job summary

Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) is seeking a qualified technician to maintain plant electrical and instrumentation systems for generating units. You will troubleshoot instrumentation and electrical issues and document all work in Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and outages is required for this role. Candidates should have a two-year technical degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or substantial equivalent experience in power plant

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree with 3–5 years of power plant or industrial electrical/instrumentation experience.
• In lieu of a degree, significant power plant and/or industrial electrical or electronics experience may qualify.
• Successful completion of the E&I entry level test is required.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• - Ability to perform the duties of the position in a safe manner.
• - Maintain plant electrical and instrumentation systems & equipment of the generating units
• - Assist in troubleshooting of instrumentation problems and/or electrical problems.
• - Documents work performed to support maintenance information in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• - Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, for forced outages, planned outages and maintenance outages - may be called out at any hour during a normal work week or weekends

Qualifications and Skills

• - A two (2) year technical degree supplemented by 3 to 5 years of power plant and/or industrial electrical, instrumentation or electronics experience is required. In lieu of a degree, significant power plant and/or industrial electrical or electronics experience may also qualify an applicant for this position.
• - Successful completion of the E&I entry level test is required.

• - Ability to learn station electrical and instrumentation systems and safety procedures
• - Use of digital multimeters, test equipment for pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, general diagnostic knowledge for troubleshooting station equipment and switchgear
