Eastman in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced electrical/instrumentation technician to support site maintenance. You will diagnose faults, install and maintain 415V AC motors, safety and control systems, and perform calibrations in a hazardous environment.

The role requires a time-served qualification in electrical/instrument discipline, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Time-served qualification in electrical or instrumentation discipline.
• Experience fault finding with a systematic approach to determine root cause.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules while maintaining safety.
• Proficient with SAP, Beamex CMX, site drawings, and MS Office.

Responsabilités

• Respond to plant breakdowns to diagnose and resolve faults.
• Install, calibrate and maintain 415V AC motors and control equipment.
• Install, commission and maintain safety, control, and measurement systems.
• Carry out calibration and maintenance per procedural documentation.
• Maintain hazardous area equipment in line with DSEAR regulations.
• Electrical installation work including lighting and cable management.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the E/I Supervisor you will support the site maintenance effort carrying out typical maintenance activities including –

• Responding to plant breakdowns as required to diagnose and resolve faults of an instrumentation or electrical nature.
• Installation and maintenance of 415V AC motors and associated control equipment.
• Installing, commissioning, and maintaining safety, control, and measurement systems.Level, pressure and temperature measurements etc
• Carry out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems as per procedural documentation.
• Maintenance of hazardous area equipment inline with the DSEAR regulations.
• General electrical installation work including lighting and cable management.

• Will have experience in fault finding using a systematic approach to get to route cause efficiently and effectively.
• Will have a flexible approach to changing priorities.
• Will be capable of working alone or effectively as part of a team.
• Will be able to perform critical tasks within specified time constraints and schedules.
• Will understand and correctly use the following systems:
• • SAP to complete assigned maintenance, review and update equipment history
  • Beamex CMX software to carry out and record instrument calibrations
  • Drawing database to access, understand and update site electrical and control drawings when required
  • Microsoft office for general administrative tasks
