Job summary

Western Midstream is seeking an experienced E&I Midstream Operations team member based in Carrizo Springs, TX. The role combines electrical systems, instrumentation and controls expertise for high, medium, and low voltage substation operations.

Responsibilities include maintenance, troubleshooting of motors, breakers, VFDs, and reading electrical drawings. 3+ years gas processing plant experience and a journeyman electrical license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in gas processing/plant maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot control systems, components and electrical equipment.
• Experience with reading electrical drawings and P&IDs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Job Summary

This position is in Carrizo Springs, TX as a E&I Midstream Operations team member. This role requires a unique combination of expertise in electrical systems, instrumentation & controls. This expertise will be needed especially in high, medium, and low voltage substation operations.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with WES Core Values
• Accountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers, and promoting a safe, compliant work environment
• Maintain effective communications, provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including plant supervision, engineering, operations, I&E, other maintenance employees, clerical staff, and contractors
• Coordinate/perform maintenance duties required to maintain operations and regulatory compliance
• Troubleshooting and repair motor starter buckets, electric motor maintenance, and main tie main switching
• Read electrical drawings and redline them after changes have been made
• Troubleshooting numerous types of breakers, including 480/277 VAC up to 15kV
• Troubleshooting and maintaining heat trace installs and soft starts
• VFD troubleshooting and installing, programming, after install
• Coordinating work with the plant and field to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, optimize production, and avoid safety and environmental risks.
• Ensure that accurate, timely data is entered and recorded within computer-based preventative and predictive maintenance programs, drawings, procedures, and schematics
• Read and understand maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications parts and procedures to make proper and timely repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience, relevant gas processing plant experience preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot control systems, components, end devices, and other electronic equipment and perform repairs and maintenance
• Experience in the use of computers and a basic knowledge of Word and Excel required, SAP preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
• Working knowledge of standard construction drawings: P&ID’s, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics, etc. preferred.
• Experience in maintenance and operation of natural gas engines and compressors
• Experience in maintenance and operation of gas processing equipment including various type pumps, fans, blowers, and filters.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Certifications/Licenses

• Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
• Journeyman-Electrical License preferred.

Travel Requirements

• The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

Work Schedule

• This position is on a shift schedule and may be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. This position will be on-call, based on a rotating schedule.
