Job summary

Triad Control Systems in Meraux, LA, is seeking an experienced E&I Designer to join our Plant Services team on an onsite assignment at a refinery. You will perform complex electrical and instrumentation design using AutoCAD, SPI/Intools, and MicroStation, under minimal supervision.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial electrical and instrumentation drafting, knowledge of NEC and ISA, and strong collaboration with project teams, vendors, and clients to produce accurate construction documents.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in Engineering Technology or related technical discipline preferred.
5+ years of relevant industrial electrical and instrumentation drafting/design experience.
Familiarity with NEC, ISA, NFPA standards and instrumentation installation practices.

Responsibilities

Produce electrical one-line diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, and P&ID updates.
Create installation details, MCC wiring, electrical room layouts, and control panel drawings.
Perform field walkdowns and gather data to support project execution.
Review vendor drawings for compliance with project requirements.
Coordinator work activities with engineers, operations, and construction teams.
