Job summary

Elbit America is seeking an E/E Assembler (Finance) to contribute to manufacturing of circuit card assemblies, electro‑mechanical assemblies, and process improvements. You will perform wiring, hand soldering, and mechanical assembly, ensuring quality in every step.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams and drawings, using precision tools, and documenting inspections. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for skill growth.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum two years, five preferred, in electro‑mechanical assembly.
  • J-STD, IPC‑610, and IPC 7711/7721 certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic and electro‑mechanical components, wiring, and mechanical hardware.
  • Perform in‑process and final inspections and audits.
  • Record results and verify documentation for conformance.
  • Recommend process improvements and support rework/repair tasks.

E/E Assembler (Finance)

Job Summary: The Electronic Assembler will be responsible for manufacturing efforts in the areas of circuit card assembly, electro‑mechanical assembly and the development and refinement of manufacturing processes, inspection and/or auditing of raw materials components, assemblies, standard parts, system assemblies, end items in‑process, and final acceptance of their own work.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Performs set up and assembly of electronic assemblies including; wiring, hand soldering, component placement and mechanical assembly as well as rework and repair.
  • Performs in-process and final assembly inspections and audits as required.
  • Makes verbal or written recommendations for product and process improvements
  • Perform potting/encapsulating, mixing of resins and epoxies.
  • Sprays or applies protective coatings, as required.
  • Applies minimal touch up paint as required using paint pens or similar controlled devices.
  • Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Verifies documentation for completeness, accuracy and acceptable Certificates of Conformance.
  • Accepts or rejects items inspected/audited and records the results of inspections.
  • Records results of inspections in computer data systems.
  • TYPICAL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
  • Tools used: Standard and precision hand tools, electrical hand tools, soldering devices, microscopes, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, gauge blocks, scales, inspection stamps.
  • Equipment Used: Continuity test equipment, automated manufacturing equipment, standard personal computers and citrix terminals, automated and manual test equipment, electronic meters, and computer operated equipment, use surface plate and setup accessories, hardness testing equipment, and special testing devices and equipment.
Education, Experience, License, or Certification:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • J-STD certification
  • IPC-610 certification
  • IPC 7711/7721 (rework and repair certifications)
  • Two years minimum (five years preferred) experience in an Electro Mechanical Assembly role or related position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inspection procedures and the use of inspection tools such as gauges and micrometers.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Hand soldering and solder joint rework, mechanical assembly, and wire harness assembly skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and other written instructions.
  • Use simple arithmetic including decimals and fractions, metric/standard measurement conversion and hand tools and test equipment as required by the work operations described.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-verify workmanship and/or processes that are required as part of task completion.
  • Perform inspections using written and visual instruction including wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics and visual aids.
  • Communicate in writing and clearly and adequately document discrepancies.
