Job summary

Centurion is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Data Migration Engineer/Specialist to lead secure migrations between enterprise eDiscovery platforms. The role focuses on preserving metadata, preserving custodial integrity, and supporting both active and archival matter migrations with auditable workflows.

You will work with legal, IT, and operations to ensure compliant, efficient data transfers and robust validation across platforms, including Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with IT experience.
• 5+ years IT experience in related fields.
• 3–7+ years hands-on eDiscovery migration experience.
• Expertise with Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint environments.
• Proficient in EDRM concepts and metadata handling.
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, SQL.
• Experience performing defensible, auditable migrations with custody records.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end platform-to-platform migrations across COTS solutions (Actera eDP, Casepoint).
• Migrate matters, custodial collections, productions, and review work product with full metadata preservation.
• Maintain data integrity using hashing and custody validation methods.
• Map and transform metadata and load files to target formats.
• Perform QA/UAT, sampling, reconciliation, and audits for migrations.
• Develop phased migration plans minimizing litigation workflow impact.
• Coordinate with legal, IT, security, and operations to ensure compliance.

Centurion is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Data Migration Engineer/Specialist to support complex legal data transitions between enterprise eDiscovery platforms. The ideal candidate brings hands on expertise migrating case workspaces, ESI, metadata, review work product, and productions while ensuring chain of custody integrity and strict legal defensibility. This role supports active and archival matter migration efforts, collaborating with legal, IT, and operations stakeholders to deliver secure, auditable, and efficient data transfer initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute end to end platform to platform migrations across COTS solutions, including Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint SaaS.
• Migrate active/archived matters, custodial collections, productions, transcripts, and review work product with full preservation of tags, redactions, search histories, and workspace configuration.
• Maintain strict data integrity using digital hashing and industry standard chain of custody validation methods.
• Map, transform, and normalize metadata and specialized load files (.DAT, .OPT, Concordance formats) to meet target platform requirements.
• Perform QA/UAT activities, including sampling, reconciliation checks, and validation audits to ensure complete and accurate migrations.
• Develop phased migration plans to minimize impact on ongoing litigation workflows and user access.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure compliance with legal hold, privacy, and data retention requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to obtain and maintain US Public Trust Clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years IT experience
• 3–7+ years of hands on experience in eDiscovery data migration, ETL workflows, or legal technology engineering.
• Strong subject matter expertise with Actera eDP (Clearwell) and Casepoint eDiscovery environments.
• Advanced proficiency with EDRM concepts, metadata handling, relational databases, and structured load files.
• Working knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Python, PowerShell, SQL).
• Experience conducting defensible, auditable migrations with documented chain of custody and full metadata preservation.
• Understanding of legal holds, retention policies, and data privacy requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with legal, IT, security, and operations stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications

• Concordance load file experience
• Experience supporting large scale complex litigation or government investigations
• Familiarity with secure data transfer protocols and cloud SaaS migration best practices
