Job summary

Kroger is seeking an online order picker to assemble and prepare on-line orders for customers in Grovetown, GA. The role emphasizes accuracy, freshness, and customer service as orders are prepared and loaded into customers’ cars for pickup.

You will follow store procedures and participate in ongoing training while contributing to a high-energy e-commerce team. Ideal candidates can read shelf tags, perform basic math, communicate clearly, and work without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector; store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Initiate and complete selection process for customers’ online orders.
• Read and follow directions given in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond to calls professionally.
• Retrieve each customer’s order and load into customers' cars.
• Process the orders through the POS system.
• Follow substitutions policies for out-of-stock items.
• Scan and bag orders following bagging standards.
• Notify customers of substitutions or exceptions at pick-up.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas.
• Report discrepancies to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and report needs for repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Learn and adapt to new processes.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced environments.

• Process the orders through the point of sale (POS) system
• Follow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions in the event of an out-of-stock
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following all bagging standards
• Communicate any substitutions or exceptions to customer’s order at time of pick-up
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the store e-Commerce supervisor
• Inspect equipment and notify store e-Commerce supervisor or other store management of items in need of repair
• Perform required opening and closing procedures
• Learn and adapt to new and improved processes
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members
• Meet/exceed productivity standards
