Midwest Co-op is currently accepting resumes for the position of Operator 2. Under the direction of the Agronomy Location Manager, the Operator – 2 safely operates trucks, custom application equipment, and facility machinery.

This role is suited for individuals with a DZ license (or inexperienced AZ) who have foundational skills and are developing advanced competencies in equipment operation, field application, facility operations, load management, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or equivalent.
• Class DZ or AZ driver’s license.
• Must be at least 25 years old with 3+ years driving experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift, WHMIS, and TDG certifications.
• Strong safety and detail orientation.
• Customer service focus and willingness to learn new processes.
• Ability to lift materials within regulatory limits.

Responsibilities

• Operates straight trucks and mobile equipment safely under supervision.
• Performs pre-trip inspections and follows maintenance schedules.
• Loads/unloads and handles fertilizers, crop inputs, and hardware.
• Supports warehouse, inventory, and yard operations.
• Ensures safety, compliance, and professional conduct on site.
• Provides courteous service at customer sites and supports branch teams.
