Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a Dynamics Test Engineer on 2nd shift to support development and production testing of satellite subsystems. You will craft detailed work instructions and collaborate with designers, systems engineers, and technicians to ensure compliant testing.

The role emphasizes vibration table and acoustics testing in a hands-on lab setting. The position requires a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree and 2+ years in environmental testing with MIL-STD standards, plus experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent.
• 2+ years hands-on environmental test experience with vibration, shock, and acoustic testing in MIL-STD-810, SMC-S-016, or MIL-STD-1540.
• 2+ years working with Data Acquisition systems.
• Familiar with installation of test instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate test consoles and work with engineering and technician teams to conduct dynamic testing.
• Review test plans and write work instructions for technicians to set up and execute testing.
• Analyze post test data and write test reports of non-compliant or off-nominal events.
• Review failure events and perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Assess safe working conditions and write Job Hazard Analyses for work areas.
• Hands-on lab environment with cross-functional collaboration on projects.
• Project management to complete technical initiatives across teams.
• Improve environmental test processes to speed development to production.
