Job summary

International Food Products Corporation is seeking a Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Developer to design, build, and maintain extensions, integrations, and reports for the Business Central ERP environment. You will work with the IS team to assess needs and deliver upgrade-safe BC solutions across finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, warehousing, and manufacturing.

You will contribute to BC projects, ensure platform reliability and performance, and help maintain security and environment

Qualifications

• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development using AL and Visual Studio Code.
• Experience with BC data structures, APIs (OData/REST), and Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BC extensions for finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, warehousing, and manufacturing.
• Build BC API pages, web services, and integrations with EDI, DocuWare, Power Platform, and other third-party apps.
• Follow BC development best practices, coding standards, and ensure reliability and security of the platform.

As a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining extensions, integrations, and reports for our Business Central ERP environment. Working closely with the IS team and business systems analysts, you will assess the operational needs of the organization and deliver reliable, upgrade-safe BC solutions across finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, warehousing, and manufacturing. You will contribute to BC development projects and help ensure the overall reliability and performance of the Business Central platform.

Responsibilities Include:

• Develop and optimize Dynamics 365 Business Central, including finance, sales, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and manufacturing processes.
• Design and develop BC extensions in AL using Visual Studio Code (tables, pages, codeunits, reports, events/subscribers, and table/page extensions).
• Use Agile best practices, source control (Git/Azure DevOps), and CI/CD pipelines for BC extension development and deployment
• Build and maintain BC API pages, web services, and integrations with EDI (Lanham), DocuWare, Power Platform, and other third-party applications.
• Assess the operational and IS needs of the organization and develop solutions to meet those needs.
• Follow and help maintain BC development best practices and coding standards.
• Ensure the overall reliability, performance, and security of the Business Central platform, including permission sets and environment management in the BC Admin Center.
• Analyze business needs, design creative solutions, and construct visual documentation of said solutions
• Develop detailed functional specifications and other necessary systems documentation for changes, enhancements, and new systems.
• Support both large enhancements and ongoing BC maintenance, including monthly/major SaaS updates and extension compatibility testing.
• Coordinate and assist the planning and execution of testing.
• Troubleshoot BC application issues, including debugging, telemetry review, and coordination with BC partners and ISVs
• Build close working relationships with both business and IS partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central development using AL and Visual Studio Code.
• Experience with BC data structures, APIs (OData/REST), and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong research and analysis skills in the formulation and definition of project scope and objectives.
• Ability to create effective systems documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with peers and customers across multiple disciplines, locations, and levels.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g. MB-820 Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer or MB-800 Functional Consultant) are a plus.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects at the same time.
• Effective at managing competing priorities and work independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience in manufacturing a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience building BC reports (RDLC/Word/Excel layouts), Power BI reporting from BC data, and BC data exports (e.g. Azure Data Lake/Fabric).
• Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, and EDI integrations connected to Business Central.

Required Training & Education:

• BA/BS degree plus 3 or more years of experience in Dynamics NAV/Business Central development or ERP systems analysis.
• Master’s Degree or advanced certifications a plus.
