Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads materials from trucks, pallets, and shelves manually or with equipment.
• Moves materials within the plant, yard, or work site following directions.
• Reads work orders or follows oral instructions to identify materials to be moved.
• Packs and prepares materials for transport to prevent damage in transit.
• Counts and records units moved and notes breakage or spoilage.
• Tags materials and labels containers as required.
• Stacks or bundles materials and secures loads.
• Performs routine housekeeping and grounds maintenance in warehouse and sales areas.
• Wears provided safety gear and adheres to safety policies.
• Assists supervisors with other duties as needed.
