Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) in Layton, UT is seeking a Warehouse Associate / Delivery Driver to join a fast-paced warehouse team. The role alternates between delivering orders and performing warehouse duties, requiring collaboration and independent work to move merchandise, unload trucks, wrap and ship via UPS & LTL daily.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, team-oriented, and self-starting. Benefits include medical, vision, dental insurance, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with clean driving history.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work.
• Willingness to learn wire cutting and other warehouse tasks.
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist.
• Work on concrete floors all shift.
• Climb ladders to access materials.
• Basic math skills.
• Operate forklift (training provided).
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Legally operate a motor vehicle and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.
• Load all order fulfillment materials onto the truck for delivery and unload at delivery.
• Communicate any vehicle mechanical problems to direct supervisor.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle.
• Deliver/pick up merchandise to/from customers and suppliers promptly, efficiently, and in a professional manner.
• Pick up material from vendors.
• Receive incoming freight.
• Keep a clean and organized warehouse.
• Stock material on shelves.
• Pick orders.
• Processing returns from customers and to vendors.
• Operate a Microsoft-based computer system.
• Take walk-in customer orders in person or over the phone.
• Build familiarity with new and returning customers.
