Job summary

University of Southern California's Bookstores division seeks a Warehouse Associate in Glendale, CA. You will handle receiving, processing, and delivering orders, maintain stock records, and support offsite events.

You will unload shipments, input data in the inventory system, and pack/ship merchandise while providing excellent customer service. Forklift operation and driving responsibilities are required.

Qualifications

• Shipping, receiving, and delivery experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Forklift certification required.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
• Customer service experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Unloads and examines incoming deliveries. Matches invoices to receiving documents and reports discrepancies.
• Inputs merchandise data into inventory management system. Operates scanners, cash registers, and credit card terminals.
• Assembles and fills orders for bookstore departments and satellite stores. Prepares shipping docs and ships merchandise.
• Organizes and stocks merchandise in warehouse locations. Drives forklift and uses pallet jack.
• Responds to merchandise transfer requests; communicates with vendors about packing lists, discrepancies, deliveries and returns.
• Drives warehouse vehicles for deliveries and events; sets up offsite event locations.
• Prepares invoices in batches for processing and payment; coordinates with accounting.
• Manages external events, processes transactions, answers queries, and assists with loss prevention.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
