Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, multimedia or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture and produce compelling visual journalism including photography and video
• Cover breaking news and major events with quick visuals for real-time reporting
• Tell people-first stories visually with emphasis on local impact
• Edit and publish multimedia content for digital, mobile and social platforms
• Use analytics to guide storytelling decisions and improve engagement
• Collaborate with reporters and editors on multimedia plans for daily and enterprise coverage
• Identify visual opportunities around trending topics and high-interest stories
• Produce video-first journalism including vertical video and explainers
• Ensure accuracy, context and journalistic integrity in all work
• Maintain equipment and stay current on storytelling tools
