Job summary

National Veterinary Associates' Adobe Animal Hospital in Los Gatos seeks a veterinary technician for our fast-paced outpatient team, coordinating technician, wellness and urgent care appointments with RVTs, assistants and doctors.

Must have technician experience, strong client communication, and the ability to multi-task. Weekend/holiday shifts required. Base wage is $24–$36 per hour, depending on experience, with occasional travel to Los Altos Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow and advise owners in person or over the phone.
• Perform veterinary technical skills with minimal supervision.
• Assess patient status and document care plans.
• Take histories, vitals, explain treatments and medications.
• Place IV catheters and monitor critical care patients.
• Assist in radiographs and in-house lab tests.
• Train new technicians as needed.
• Provide staff leadership and maintain professionalism.
