Job summary

Freedom Preparatory Academy seeks a middle school science teacher to lead students through fundamentals and mastery of concepts, using year-long assessments to monitor progress. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers to align curricula across subjects, and to foster growth through data-informed instruction.

The ideal candidate will hold a Tennessee teaching license with endorsements in science, or be eligible for reciprocity, and possess 2–4 years of urban teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree strongly preferred.
• Valid Tennessee teaching license and endorsement(s) in hired content area or reciprocity with TN.

Responsibilities

• Embodies and models the network's values of respect, responsibility, integrity, community, and excellence.
• Communicates effectively and maintains strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Works with Head of School and Dean of Students to develop strategies for all students to reach success.
• Uses data analysis of student performance to inform best practices and improve outcomes.
