Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach Upper and Middle School CS courses using approved curriculum and NC standards.
• Design lessons and coding activities that connect CS concepts to real-world applications.
• Use Socratic questioning and hands-on practice to develop student reasoning.
• Differentiate instruction for mixed-grade classes and coordinate accommodations with staff.
• Assess progress, maintain grades, attendance, and student records.
• Coordinate required state testing or Proof of Learning with testing staff.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom and responsible device use policies.
• Communicate with families and division leaders to support continuity in CS learning.
• Participate in planning, meetings, and professional learning for the full-time assignment.
