Job summary

Poplarville School District is seeking an Upper Elementary Classroom Teacher for Grades 3-5. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid class “A” certificate in Mississippi. Responsibilities include engaging students, managing the classroom, and fostering a positive communication environment for parents and community members. Teachers will be evaluated annually, and the contract consists of 187 days with a salary based on the certified teacher salary schedule approved by the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as a minimum requirement.
• Hold at least a class “A” certificate which is valid in Mississippi endorsed in the appropriate field.
• Participate in self-initiated and school/district-initiated professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality work that engages students in learning.
• Differentiate instruction for a variety of developmental stages and ability levels.
• Relate to parents and community members in a positive fashion.
• Implement approved disciplinary measures for effective classroom management.
