Job summary

Boothby Therapy Services is hiring a full-time Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (TODHH) for a school-based position in Lawrence, MA for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves providing individualized instruction and adapting materials to ensure accessible learning for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

You will collaborate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, and educators, use ASL as appropriate, and participate in IEP meetings to support communication and academic goals.

Qualifications

• Must hold MA or equivalent MA DOE TODHH certification.
• ASL proficiency or certification required.
• Experience or interest in special education, deaf education, or hearing impairment services.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Adapt curriculum and materials for accessible learning environments.
• Use ASL and/or other communication modalities as appropriate.
• Collaborate with teachers, SLPs, special education staff, and related service providers.
• Support development of communication, language, and academic skills.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive strategies to support student access.
• Communicate regularly with families and caregivers.
• Advocate for student needs and promote inclusive education.
