Responsibilities

• Provides classroom coverage for a teacher in the event of absence; refers to teacher lesson plans and notes in conducting routine classroom activities.
• Monitors activities and behavior of children to ensure safety and adherence to conduct rules.
• Supervises learning activities and supports students individually or in small groups.
• Checks and objectively evaluates students' work; reinforces skills per instructional guidelines.
• Monitors student progress and informs the teacher of learning deficiencies.
• Enforces school policies and rules governing students.
• Clocks-in and out using Paylocity time management system.
• Performs additional duties such as recess, morning/afternoon supervision, and lunch duty.
