Job summary

Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks substitute teachers to join a continuous pool for Clover Hill High School and other campuses. Substitutes are paid $140 per day, and $203 per day on Fridays and predetermined High Demand days.

In this role you will instruct students across PreK-12, follow lesson plans, manage classrooms, and collaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction. Qualifications include 18+, HS diploma or GED, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED with two years of experience with kids or 60 college credits.
• Long-term substitutes must have 60 college credits; a Bachelor's degree is preferred for long-term substitute eligibility.
• Applicants must successfully complete FBI, State Police, CPS background checks and TB screening.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and effectively communicate with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Follow regular teacher lesson plans and maintain classroom management.
• Perform assigned duties and leave documentation for the teacher.
• Instruct students across PreK-12 as needed and cooperate with educators to differentiate instruction.
• Utilize available technology and materials to support instruction.
• Operate within school policies and state laws.
