Job summary

Lake Washington School District (LWSD) is seeking qualified Substitute Teacher candidates for the 2026-2027 school year substitute pool. Certificated substitute teachers work on an at-will basis during the school year to fill absences they select; hours vary by assignment.

Mandatory online orientation and training will occur after selection and we will contact substitutes as openings occur within the pool. Certification/License: Washington State substitute teacher or other teacher certification

Qualifications

• Certification/License: Washington State substitute teacher or other teacher certification is required.
• Mandatory online orientation and training will occur after a candidate is selected for the Substitute Pool.

Responsibilities

• Certificated Substitute Teachers work on an at-will basis during the school year to fill absences they select.
• Substitutes will be contacted by the Substitute Office as openings occur within the substitute pool.
• A day shall be equal to one full day or two half days.
