Cook County School District 130 is seeking a substitute teacher to provide instruction and manage the learning environment across district schools. In short-term assignments, you will follow prepared lessons; in longer term roles, you may plan daily instruction, assess students, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State of Illinois substitute teaching license.
• Ability to follow and implement lesson plans left by the teacher.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible to work in a variety of classroom settings.

Responsabilités

• Maintains regular availability to cover absences at various schools.
• Teaches the lesson as prepared by the full-time classroom teacher.
• Uses effective communication skills to present information clearly.
• Utilizes instructional resources and equipment as directed.
• Maintains a positive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Maintains routines and attendance and ensures safety.
• Performs duties of the full-time teacher, including lunchroom, hall, bus, and recess duties.
• Attends meetings, develops lesson plans, and collaborates with staff.
• Grading, entering grades, and communicating with parents.
