The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED Teacher) to join our full-time school-based team in Jackson, GA. Qualifications

• Master's degree in SPED is required.
• Georgia SPED certification is required.
• Adaptive Curriculum certification and content certification in all subjects are preferred or in process.
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations is important.
• Experience with students with disabilities is preferred.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs based on student needs and goals.
• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse disabilities.
• Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies to support achievement.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers.
• Conduct ongoing assessments and document student performance.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with families.
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
• Implement evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies.
• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal SPED requirements.

Education
