• Teaches subjects to pupils in a classroom, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law.
• Develops lesson plans and individualized instructional materials.
• Evaluates pupils’ academic and social growth, and prepares progress reports.
• Communicates with parents through IEP conferences to discuss pupil’s progress.
• Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day.
