Montgomery Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction for students with diverse needs in a nine-month role. The position reports to the Principal and may supervise instructional aides as assigned.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, utilizing assistive technology, and collaborating with parents and school staff to maximize student outcomes.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college.
• Valid Alabama teaching certificate in special education.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under state requirements.
• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication.
• Ability to develop and implement curriculum for students with special needs.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses students’ needs for transition and related services.
• Participates in development of students’ IEPs as a member of the IEP team.
• Implements the students’ IEPs and monitors progress.
• Maintains a safe, organized classroom and collaborates with staff and parents.
