Qualifications

• Degree in education or related area that will qualify for licensure per NC DPI.
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) required or preferred for licensure.

Responsibilities

• Major Function: Management of Instructional Time—prepare materials, start lessons promptly, keep students on task.
• Major Function: Management of Student Behavior—establish rules and monitor behavior with dignity.
• Major Function: Instructional Presentation—present clear lessons with objectives and examples.
• Major Function: Instructional Monitoring of Student Performance—check progress and use various work products.
• Major Function: Instructional Feedback—provide prompt, sustaining feedback for both in-class and out-of-class work.
• Major Function: Facilitating Instruction—align objectives, strategies, and assessments with curriculum goals.
• Major Function: Interacting Within the Educational Environment—treat all students fairly and work with staff and parents.
• Major Function: Performing Non-Instructional Duties—fulfill duties following laws, policies, and PD plans.
• MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Degree in education or related area qualifying for licensure;
• KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strong instructional planning, assessment, and classroom management.
