Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject area.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years teaching.
• Evidence of meeting Highly Qualified requirements as defined by No Child Left Behind.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade level(s).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned to State of Michigan standards.
• Use relevant technology to support differentiated instruction.
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Assist students who are behind or struggling to learn content.
• Collaborate with other teachers to improve learning outcomes.
• Communicate with students and parents regarding progress and needs.
• Establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and rules.
• Use assessment data to inform daily instruction.
• Create classroom assessments to measure proficiency levels.
