American Leadership Academy in Sierra Vista, AZ is seeking a Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or candidates currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Implement the adopted science curriculum and develop lesson plans aligned to state standards with clear objectives, instructional strategies, and assessment methods.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support effective implementation of the adopted curriculum that incorporates scientific inquiry, experimentation, and theory.
• Include a variety of approved instructional materials and resources, such as textbooks, scientific articles, and digital tools.
• Teach science concepts through engaging methods, including lectures, hands-on experiments, demonstrations, and group projects.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with varying levels of scientific understanding and special educational needs.
• Administer assessments, including quizzes, tests, lab reports, and projects, to measure student understanding and progress.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback on student work and performance.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievements and progress, and use assessment data to guide instruction.
• Establish and maintain a positive and safe classroom environment conducive to learning and experimentation.

Education

Bachelor's degree

Arizona Teaching Certificate or 24 credit hours in area or Content knowledge exams (AEPA, NES, Praxis)

Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field
