Job summary

Meeting Street is seeking a Science Teacher for grades 5–8 for 40 hours per week. The role includes teaching general science, developing inclusive lesson plans, and collaborating with other educators using Zoom and Google Classroom for remote learning.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree with valid science certification (RIDE) and demonstrate strong knowledge of scientific concepts and instructional strategies for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with valid elementary or middle school science certification (RIDE) or ability to obtain.
• Proficient technology skills for remote learning and day-to-day tasks (Zoom, Google Classroom, MS Word).
• Experience or ability to provide inclusive instruction and collaborate with staff.

Responsibilities

• Teach general science concepts to grades 5–8 using district-adopted curricula.
• Develop lesson plans and materials with diverse content.
• Co-teach with special educators and adapt instruction to meet all learners’ needs.
