Job summary

The Gardner School of Cambridge is seeking an Executive School Director to lead a thriving school community. You will build a high‑performing team, cultivate family partnerships, and bring our mission to life from Day One.

This hands‑on leader will manage operations, finances, compliance, and community engagement while upholding the school’s values and driving strategic growth. Salary range and bonus are included.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Director II qualifications required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enrollment management: drive enrollment, lead sales, and build partnerships.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with regular coaching.
• Oversee budgeting, staffing, compliance, and daily school operations.
• Develop seasonal plans for Summer, Back to School and Spring Ramp.
• Engage families and community partners to strengthen the school’s presence.
• Ensure safety, licensing compliance, and quality of education and care.
