Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide and direct patient care across inpatient, outpatient and emergency department settings. The role uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan and deliver care in accordance with policies and procedures.

You will supervise ancillary staff, document care, educate patients and families, ensure compliance with HIPAA and health and safety standards, and participate in continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR current multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• CPR – American Heart Association.
• Act 34/Act 33/Act 73 background clearances as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a comprehensive patient assessment to identify patient needs.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive plan of care.
• Performs and documents direct patient care and patient education according to nursing standards of practice.
• Identifies and responds to patient condition to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Directs and delegates care provided by ancillary team members.
