Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in our acute clinical environment. You will follow the SMHCS nursing practice model and ANA standards to deliver patient- and family-centered care.

Unit coverage spans General Medical, Surgical, and specialty areas, with emphasis on wound care, diabetes management, and post-surgical recovery. Florida RN license, BLS, and strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN is preferred.
• Current Florida RN license required.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Basic computer skills and hospital information systems experience.
• ASN/ADN education completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an acute clinical environment.
• Adhere to SMHCS nursing practice model and ANA standards.
• Collaborate with care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor, document, and respond to patient status changes.
