Job summary

University of Cincinnati Clermont (UCC) seeks adjunct faculty for the new Associate of Applied Science in Rural Population Health and Associate of Science in Public Health. The role emphasizes wellness, prevention, service, and community engagement, with a student-centered approach in both classroom and online settings.

These positions may be invited to teach and develop courses as needed; primary duties include teaching, course design, and student assessment, on a part-time basis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health or a bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant experience.
• At least five (5) years of teaching or related professional experience.
• Certified Health Education Specialist credential or Certified Doula certificate required.
• Strong teaching, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent writing skills and ability to handle confidential student information.
• Strong interpersonal skills and initiative.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong multimedia and computer skills.
• Commitment to care and service; collaboration.
• Experience with program accreditation and recruitment is valued.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in classroom (in person or online) and assess course work.
• Prepare a syllabus for each course using college templates.
• Teach professionally according to syllabus and course outline.
• Start and end each class on time.
• Share teaching schedule and be available for student office hours.
• Maintain course records and attend required meetings.
• Engage in accreditation activities and program recruitment as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
