Job summary

Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC seeks a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. You will implement Treatment Plans under supervision, deliver direct Patient Treatment and Exercise Therapy, and support patient recovery with compassionate care.

Requirements include a valid PTA license in the state, completion of an accredited PTA program, CPR and BLS certifications, and 1–3 years of PT/Rehab experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of practice.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Execute prescribed Patient Treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises and modalities to facilitate recovery.
• Provide comprehensive Exercise Therapy and functional training under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists in assessment and adjustment of Treatment Planning to optimize outcomes.
• Deliver patient education and counseling regarding conditions, goals, and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Manage appointments and therapy sessions with strong scheduling and multitasking.
