Job summary

WCTC's Humanities, Communication, and Social Sciences department seeks an adjunct faculty member in Psychology to deliver foundational and development courses. The position emphasizes engaging instruction and the use of research-based teaching methods to support student success.

The successful candidate will teach on campus and online, participate in curriculum design, and contribute to program assessment. Summer, fall, and spring terms may be required. Pay varies by course.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Psychology or related field required.
• At least two years of post-secondary teaching experience as the lead instructor.
• Experience in CANVAS or similar LMS.
• Online teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction to a range of program students.
• Integrate technology into teaching of course material.
• Contribute to program development, curriculum design, and program assessment.
• Collaborate with a variety of faculty, staff, and students using strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate a strong foundation in pedagogy.
• Use feedback as a developmental tool for growth around instructional effectiveness and collegiality.
• Effective at teaching in multiple formats (face-to-face, hybrid, internet).
• Maintain positive relationships within the Liberal Arts programs and the various occupational programs at WCTC.
