Job summary

The Midland Independent School District seeks a Teacher Assistant for Pre-K at Franks Elementary in Midland, Texas. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Principal and assigned teachers and supports classroom instruction and student care.

Qualifications

• Possess, or be willing to apply for, a TEA Educational Aide Certificate.
• Educational Aide certificate as established by the State Board for Educator Certification.
• High school diploma, the equivalent of a high school diploma, or higher.
• Experience working with students and parents as approved by the employing superintendent.

Responsibilities

• Follow the directions of the supervisor.
• Preparing materials and displays as directed.
• Demonstrating acceptable written and verbal skills.
• Conducting small group and large group activities.
