Job summary

Novara Healthcare Services in New York is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate residents and design individualized rehabilitation plans to boost mobility and independence.

You will guide and monitor progress, supervise PT assistants as needed, and ensure a safe, infection-controlled environment while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.
• Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Help residents improve mobility and functional independence.
• Relieve pain using exercises, hands-on therapy, stretching, and PT devices.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants when required.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary team efforts to ensure comprehensive resident care.
