Job summary

Responsibilities

• Initiates care per policy, evaluates and establishes a treatment plan.
• Manages all aspects of physical therapy intervention.
• Completes required documentation per departmental policy.
• Participates in clinic and rounds as patient care responsibilities allow.
• Attends meetings and provides written progress/plans for rounds/clinic liaison.
• Provides education and makes discharge recommendations to the care team.
• Serves as lead in assigned rounds/clinics and coordinates communication with physicians and therapists.
• Maintains a full patient caseload, including care, documentation, and communication.
• Able to adapt to last-minute scheduling changes and lead as PT.
• Organizes unscheduled time to improve department efficiency while preserving caseload.
• Delivers care in PT disciplines/settings (acute, outpatient, cardiac, wound care, OP neuro).
• After one year, educates and evaluates at least 1 student for 4 weeks.
• After 6 months, trains new staff competencies during orientation.
• Provides formal education to internal or external departments.
• Attends at least one professional meeting per year.
