Job summary

iMotion Physical Therapy in Fremont Neuro/Ortho Clinics is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a full-time role. You will assist the PT, provide therapeutic exercises, document progress, and support a safe treatment environment at our clinic.

The position offers flexibility between long-term immediate work or a 13-week assignment starting in December, with potential transition to permanent based on mutual needs and performance. Valid California PTA license and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Valid CA license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PT in implementing treatment plans designed to help patients regain movement and manage pain.
• Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and other interventions as directed by the PT.
• Educate patients and their families about ongoing care and support for the continuation of therapy at home.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatments as necessary under the guidance of the PT.
• Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment, adhering to clinic protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the PT and other healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and preparing treatment areas.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in physical therapy to provide the best care possible.
