Job summary

Summer teaching may be available based on needs. The candidate will pursue scholarly activities and participate in service to the department, college, university, and external communities.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in physical education or closely related area.
• ABD will be considered for the position.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses and supervise graduate research.
• Experience addressing diversity in educational settings or communities.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate physical education courses.
• Advise students on academic and career plans.
• Direct graduate theses, field projects and comprehensive exams.
• Develop curriculum in physical education and write grants where appropriate.
• Provide professional service to the department, college and university.
• Conduct and publish scholarly activities.
• Maintain a 12 credit hour per semester teaching load.
• Prepare and teach online courses using Brightspace.
• Contribute to tenure and promotion processes per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
