Job summary

Saint Paul Public Schools is seeking candidates for the PhyEd & Health teacher pool for the 2026-2027 school year. This pool is used to recruit for licensure areas and may lead to vacancies district-wide as openings arise.

Applicants must hold a Minnesota K-12 Physical Education or Health license. The district will review qualifications and conduct interviews as needed; pools may be active for a year.

Qualifications

• Requires valid teaching license for Physical Education and/or Health, K-12, issued by the Minnesota Department of Education.
• Ability to teach core curriculum areas, adapt to diverse learners, and implement inclusive practices.
• Experience with instructional technologies and effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in core curriculum areas using available resources and tech.
• Develop innovative instruction methods to reach diverse learners.
• Support district goals and standards; align with school plans.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain required records; report to principal.
• Communicate with parents and collaborate with staff to promote student achievement.
• Maintain classroom management and enforce rules; address disciplinary issues as needed.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and participate in district PD offerings.
• Contribute to district initiatives and resource alignment for student success.
