Job summary

The Carbon Valley Parks & Recreation District seeks a part-time Personal Trainer to evaluate and train clients of various ages, helping them achieve fitness goals while ensuring safe use of equipment at the Carbon Valley Recreation Center.

Under supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Supervisor, you will conduct engaging PT sessions, educate members about equipment, and maintain accurate records and safety standards; CPR/First Aid and national PT certification required, with ongoing

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent certification.
• Personal Training certification through ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM or similar.

Responsibilities

• Train clients per district policies under supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Supervisor.
• Maintain interest and participation in fitness programs with professional, energized PT sessions.
• Educate participants on proper equipment usage and safety in the recreation center.
• Inspect, clean and maintain safe facilities and equipment as applicable.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain accurate accident and incident reports.
• Keep records for clients for a minimum of one year and track training timesheets.
