Cal State East Bay invites applications for a temporary, part-time lecturer pool in the Department of Political Science. The pool supports Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 appointments across lower- and upper-division courses such as American Government, Public Law, Political Theory, and Comparative Government.

Teaching assignments may run at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or online. A minimum MA in Political Science is required; PhD or JD preferred, with prior teaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum M.A. in Political Science; Ph.D. in Political Science, or a J.D. (law) preferred.
• Some university teaching experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Teaching assignments may be in lower-division or upper-division courses in American Government, Public Law, Political Theory, and Comparative Government.
• Courses may be offered at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online.
• Faculty perform duties within the state of California.
