The ideal candidate will hold an OT degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), be licensed in Florida, and possess strong communication and organizational skills, with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy required.

Responsibilities

• Completes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
• Plans and provides treatment to assigned patients as appropriate in accordance with established standards of care and practice.
• Coordinates patient care with other clinical team members ensuring optimal patient care and communication as noted in the clinical record.
• Completes all required documentation of services per department standards.
• Maintains and enhances personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in Occupational therapy.
• Monitors the treatment activities of COTA’s and aides.
• Supervises students after one year of experience.
• Is responsible for legibly and accurately completing stat sheets and charge slip for each patient seen by the end of their work shift.
• Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
• May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
