Job summary

WGXA is seeking a part-time News Production Assistant to support our morning, evening and weekend newscasts. duties include operating Deko, audio or camera, preparing fonts, studio setup and lighting, and basic tape editing.

No prior experience is required; education or internship in television is preferred and training will be provided. Must be available on weekends and flexible for additional hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Education and/or internship in television or related field preferred.
• Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate Deko, Audio or Camera for our (Morning, Evening, Weekend) Newscast.
• Prep for newscasts including but not limited to: Prepare all fonts to air during newscast.
• Studio and set preparation.
• Maintaining studio.
• Lighting.
• Tape Editing for newscasts.
• Other duties as assigned.
